Kevin Beaumont is the son of a University Lecturer and Baptist minister and was born in the West Riding of Yorkshire. He has been involved in the Scouts movement from a teenager until his late 20s. In his 30s he worked for a specialist Deaf School and ultimately as Chair of Finance.
He moved to the Driffield area twenty years ago whilst working as sales director of a healthcare company. Now retired, he is involved in local organisations such as Chair of Lockington School and as a Trustee of the Beverley and Holderness Internal Drainage Board. His involvement with Lockington School has wetted his appetite for further work within the Beverley Rural Ward.
