I have lived in South East Holderness for many years, and been an active member of the Roos Parish Council for the last four years, where I have taken on lead roles in emergency planning and fighting for local democracy.
Locally I have represented community groups and parishioners. I have raised my profile through the local media and have had a regular slot on Radio Humberside speaking about local issues.
My experience as a Parish Councillor has provided a valuable insight into part of the wider community that I wish to represent and help to improve.
An example of this is the ‘Roos Parish Emergency Plan’ which evolved as a consequence of the severe flooding in 2007. This document written in partnership with our parishioners and adopted by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council as best practice has had a positive impact across the East Riding.
I care about local people, improving and regenerating our local environment by enhancing our towns and villages and local services. If elected, in return my promise and commitment to you will be to continue to work hard doing the right things at the right time for the benefit of the local community.
I have always believed that local politics is about real people, real lives, and real change if it is required.
I am committed to the local community, dedicated to progress and your voice in South East Holderness.
