Elaine Aird

Elaine Aird has been a resident of Beverley St Mary’s Ward since 1979 when she and her family moved here from Lancashire. Her son has attended both the local primary and secondary schools. In the 1970s she obtained a mathematics degree from the Open University. Since becoming a Councillor in 2011 her intention has always been to represent all the residents in the Ward. She has continued this approach by leading a team to canvas the entire Ward from 2017 onwards. This has led to many opportunities to take up issues with East Riding Council on behalf of residents.
