To give you some background knowledge about myself, I was born in Yorkshire and have lived and worked in and around Cherry Burton for a number of years with my day to day working being part of our family business of residential care homes, caring for the local elderly community.
During the past few years I have become involved as a Young Conservative mainly on a street level, campaigning with Graham Stuart MP and then with Simon Reevell MP where I spent most weekends and weekdays working hard to topple the Labour opposition and achieve a Conservative majority.
Throughout this period and leading up to the General Election, my time was mainly dedicated to canvassing and attending local street surgeries through which I gained considerable experience of local and national issues.
Having lived and worked in Beverley Rural I have firsthand experience with some of the issues concerning local residents and where areas need to be improved.
I am extremely proud to have been selected to stand in this ward and be given the opportunity to work alongside experienced councillors to represent the residents of Beverley Rural, to work hard in this area, canvassing residents, organising street surgeries to ultimately discuss what the local community really wants and what is important to them, their families and their neighbours.
I think it is important, if elected, we can embrace our party’s localism agenda, working hard together to continue to have an effective organisation which better serves our community of hard working council tax payers.
