Bernard Gateshill

Bernard Gateshill has lived in the area all his life and has been resident in Beverley for nearly twenty years. He is married with three, now adult children, two of whom also live in Beverley. He taught law at Hull University and has practised as a barrister in Hull and the North East for many years. He represents Beverley Rural Ward on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

He is chairman of the Licensing Act 2003 Committee, a member of the Audit Committee, the Authority Wide Joint Consultative Committee and the Safer and Stronger Communities Oversight and Scrutiny Sub-Committee.
