Sixteen members of the Beverley & Holderness Association Executive Council visited No 10 Downing Street on Monday 21st November to attend a reception for Yorkshire Conservatives. This came about as the Prime Minister Theresa May was unable to fulfill her commitment to speak at our President's Dinner on Friday 18th November. The party were able to visit the famous staircase with pictures of prime ministers on the walls, the dining room and the first floor reception rooms. Shortly after our arrival the Theresa May joined the gathering and, without fanfare, mingled among her guests. She and the Party Chairman Sir Patrick McLoughlin emphasised how much they valued the work and dedication of the Conservative Associations and their elected representatives, and local members of the party.
